Oct 19 2007. ANTHONY RICHARD BIRD, who normally resides in Abbey Road in Faversham in Kent, has been convicted of 15 counts of indecent assault on a girl under the age of 14 and one count of indecent assault on a girl under 16.

BIRD was convicted of the offences last month (September) by a Norwich Crown Court jury, who found him guilty in his absence after he failed to turn up for the week-long hearing.

The offences occurred between 1987 and 1994 in the Diss area and involved four separate female victims. Bird has not yet been sentenced for the offences.

BIRD has previously travelled around the UK in a camper-style van and has been known to be involved in fishing and hunting and other activities associated with living from the land. He has spent substantial periods of time in the Faversham area of Kent, South Norfolk and the north of England.
