tab. You can also make contact with the person
who left the posting at this stage. |

To add to
or database you will need to register. To register
you will should be over 18 or supervised by
a parent or guardian. Registration is for your
safety and to deter malicious and/or erroneous
postings and under aged users. |

You will receive and email to which you will need to respond to to validate your account. Please note that this is an automated feature. If you have a spam filtering service enabled on your email account, you must pre-authorise emails from the Missing List as we will be unable to respond to authorisation requests from such services. Refer to your spam filtering service provider for information on how to do this. If it has not arrived within an hour, please check your junk folder in case it has been incorrectly classified as junk mail. |

You will be
presented with a form. Select which function
you require from: Post lost item, Post found
item. Enter what information that you have and
upload a photograph (if relevant).. |

Registered
users have access to a personal Control Centre
where they can edit their posting, view responses
to their appeal and contact respondents. You
can also stipulate other forms of contact such
as personal telephone numbers or e-mail or if
the police are involved refer responses to the
officer dealing. If the posting relates to a
reported crime a crime reference number is mandatory. |

Your listing
will be quarantined for up to 12 hours after
which it will be added to the Missing Link database. |

The best way
to understand the benefit of this facility is
to think ‘worst case scenario’.
Your house burns down and the flames consume
not only the contents but also all the documents
that prove ownership and value. Record detailed
descriptions of your property and store duplicates
of your important documents on the Missing List
and you’ll always have reference to them,
organised and ready for use. (Charged at one
donation token per item.) |

If you have information relating
to a specific appeal click REPORT leave a message
in the INBOX of the person who posted the appeal
or make contact via other means stipulated in
the posting. |

To minimise frivolous and malicious
abuses, respondents wishing two way communication,
for instance, claiming a reward are required
to register with prior to making contact. The
user Control Centre presents registered and
unregistered respondents in separate planes.
Users exercise their own judgement as to the
veracity they ascribe to information they receive
from unregistered users. |
