Pedigree cats can be very valuable and where there is value there is an incentive for thieves. Difficult to believe, but your much loved pet will be viewed by some as just another opportunity to turn a dishonest profit - the profits to be made from stolen cats are sometimes surprisingly high. |

|
|
| |
Valuable or not, show winner or moggy, we love them; and when they go missing, for whatever reason, it breaks our hearts. You take sensible precautions, of course, but a cat's natural inclination is to roam and that makes them particularly vulnerable. |

Whether your cat has been taken or is just on an extended vacation tacking a notice to a tree may not do the job. Appealing to a wider audience via the Missing List could well get results where neighbourhood focussed appeals let you down. |

The
Missing List works in partnership with PETLOG, which is owned and
managed by the Kennel Club. PETLOG is the UK's largest pet reunification
service, recording the details of over 3.5 million animals and their
owners, making it easier to find your missing or stolen cat. |

RECORD ownership information. Time can be a major factor in recovery. If all relevant information is to hand, should the worst happen, you can react without delay. (This can also be helpful in the case of disputed ownership.) |
