  • Detectives appeal after two men assaulted in separate incidents: Portsmouth

    The two incidents, which officers believe are linked, occurred between 5.22pm and 5.27pm on Saturday, March 6.

    A 48-year-old man was attacked by a large group of men next to the ETap sign outside the ETap Hotel, Fratton Way, Portsmouth.

    He was kicked and punched to the ground, struck around the head with a bottle and left unconscious.

    At around 9.30am on Tuesday, February 23 the 29-year-old victim parked her vehicle in Pitcroft Road, Portsmouth.

    As she walked towards Derby Road she was approached by a man who snatched her bag from her shoulder.

    The offender then made off on foot.

    The bag contained a large amount of cash.

    The woman was left very shaken by this incident.

  • Bottle of Channel perfume and cash taken in burglary: Old Portsmouth

    Police are appealing for information following a burglary at an address in Old Portsmouth.

    At some time between Wednesday, March 3 and Tuesday, March 9 a burglary occurred at the home of a man, aged in his 60s, on Broad Street, Old Portsmouth.

    The offenders gained access by forcing a rear door, and once inside made a search of the premises.

    A white single axle trailer has been stolen from a driveway where it had been left secure.

    Northumberland Avenue, Bury St Edmunds between 6pm 09/03/10 and 9.30am 10/03/10.

    Offenders have gained entry to an insecure shed and stolen fishing equipment and tools.

  • Stolen heating fuel substituted with water: Thelnetham

    Hopton Road, Thelnetham between 22/02/10 and 07/03/10.

    A quantity of heating oil has been stolen from a tank in the rear garden of the house.

    The tank was then filled with water afterwards.

  • Thirty cars damaged in spate of vehicle crime: Redditch

    West Mercia Police are appealing for witnesses and information after at least 30 cars were damaged in a spate of vehicle crime in Church Hill, Redditch, last weekend.

    Cars were damaged at a number of addresses including Deans Close, Flanders Close, Fulbrook Close, Cleeve Close and Edgeworth Close.

  • Investigation underway after fire sweeps restaurant: Tabernacle Street, EC2

    Islington Police are in attendance at a fire on Tabernacle Street, EC2.

    We were notified by LFB at approximately 4:50 this morning (11th March 2010).

    It is understood the fire started at the Sosho Restaurant before spreading to neighbouring buildings.

    There are no reported injuries at this stage.

  • Crowd cheers as Police arrest suspected drug dealers: Digbeth

    Neighbours and shopkeepers came out of their homes and onto the street to congratulate police as they arrested five suspected drug dealers.

    The support came as officers in Digbeth raided two commercial properties to seize a substantial quantity of drugs and arrest five men.

  • Man found dead as police called to youth disturbance: Hattersley

    Police are investigating following the death of a man in Hattersley.

    Shortly before 9.40pm on Wednesday 10 March 2010 police were called to Melandra Crescent, Hattersley following reports of youths causing annoyance.

    The youths left before officers arrived however they found a man in a collapsed condition outside the property.

  • Arrest made after motorcyclist dies in traffic collision: Abergarwed

    South Wales Police are appealing for witnesses following a Road Traffic collision that occurred at approximately 10.50hrs Wednesday 10th March 2010 on the B4242 Neath Road, Abergarwed, Neath, adjacent to the water treatment works.

    A 50 year old male motorcyclist living locally sustained serious injuries and later died at Morriston Hospital, Swansea.
