  • 100 police involved in slavery arrests at Greenacre caravan site, Update: Little Billington

    Detectives today continue to question four of the five people in custody who were arrested under the Slavery and Servitude Act in Leighton Buzzard.

    The woman arrested is pregnant and has been released on police bail and will be questioned further following the birth of her child which is imminent.

    Enquiries to locate two further suspects are underway.

    Gardai, officers from Revenues Customs Service and Environmental Protection Agency officers from Monaghan County Council have uncovered an illegal dump and an illegal diesel laundering plant near Cootehill, Co.Cavan.

    In an operation lead by Gardai, a premises at Reban, Shantonagh, Cootehill was searched this morning the 3rd of September 2010.
