    Detectives working to identify a body found in Scarborough over 20 years ago have received a new lead after recent appeals.

    Police made a renewed plea for information last week after reopening the case of a man found in the harbour on 4 May 1989.

  • Re-appeal for witnesses one week on from serious assault on 18-year-old man: Barrow

    One week after a man was seriously assaulted in the town, Barrow detectives are urging revellers who were out that night to come forward with information.

    At 3.18am last Saturday (24 July), an 18-year-old local man was found unconscious in an alleyway off Dalton Road in Barrow.

  • Children's slide damaged in suspicious fire at caravan park: Stonehaven

    Grampian Police are making enquiry into a suspicious fire that occurred around 2:20am on Thursday 29 July 2010 to a children's slide at the Queen Elizabeth Caravan Park, Stonehaven, Aberdeenshire.

    Grampian Fire and Rescue attended and extinguished the fire and considerable damage was caused to the slide.

    The exact value of the damage is yet to be established.

    Police are appealing for witnesses following an incident at an address in Frostenden Crescent around 6.20pm on Saturday 10 July.

    A 16-year-old girl was allegedly struck when someone threw gravel through a window at a property there.

    She was uninjured but police would like to hear from anyone who saw the incident.

  • Woman sustains broken nose and black eyes outside the Royal Standard: Lowestoft

    Police are appealing for witnesses following an altercation in Denmark Road around 12.45am on Sunday 25 July in which a 30-year-old woman sustained a broken nose and two black eyes.

    The altercation is thought to have happened outside the Royal Standard public house and police need to speak to anyone who saw the incident.

    A Noddy charity box has been stolen from a fabric shop.

    Mendlesham Green between 9pm 27/07/10 and 7am 28/07/10.

    Offenders have gained entry to an insecure outbuilding at stables and stolen a cash tin which was later found on the main road with cash missing.

    Offenders have attempted to gain entry to a house through a window but were disturbed by a dog.

    Two males, one wearing a white hooded top and the other wearing dark clothing, were seen to run from the property.

    Folly Road, Mildenhall between 6.20pm 27/07/10 and 10.05am 28/07/10.

    Offenders have gained entry to a house through a window and searched inside, a hosepipe was stolen from outside.

    Support rails have been broken off a balustrade on a decking area at a pavilion.

    Four wheels, tyres and an industrial vacuum cleaner have been stolen from a yard at a garage.

  • Man pulled from river in critical condition: Ipswich

    Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was found in the river off Princes Street in Ipswich on Wednesday 28 July.

    Police were called at 4:43pm and were able to locate the male and pull him from the river.

    He was taken to Ipswich Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
