  • RSPCA appeal after dog thrown from car window then run over by driver: Wollaton

    The RSPCA is appealing for information after it was claimed a dog was thrown from the window of a vehicle and then run over by the driver.

    The incident happened in Derby Road, Wollaton, Nottingham at 11pm on Saturday 21 January.

    The incident was reported to the RSPCA by the police, and an officer was sent to attend.

    Surrey Police is appealing for information after Bracken, a six-month-old chocolate coloured Labrador and his owner were injured after an attack by another dog in Nonsuch Park, Epsom.

  • Allotment holder left heartbroken after slaughter of pigeons: Middlesbrough

    An allotment holder has been left heartbroken after someone broke into a shed and pigeon loft and decapitated several of his birds.

    The incident took place on Saturday night (14th January) at Cargo Fleet Allotments.

    Lothian and Borders Police can confirm the two harrier hawks that were reported stolen from Loanhead on Friday (January 13) were recovered and reunited with their owner on Saturday night (January 14).

  • Appeal after sheep injured by arrow bolt: Helmsdale

    Between the afternoon of Thursday 12th January 2012 and Saturday 14th January 2012, in the fields adjacent to Simpson Crescent, Helmsdale, a sheep was found with an arrow/bolt through its jowls.

    The arrow was removed and the sheep is expected to make a full recovery.

  • Concern grows following theft of hibernating tortoises from rail station: Lincoln Central

    British Transport Police (BTP) is appealing for information after a car - containing two valuable hibernating tortoises - was stolen from Lincoln Central station earlier today, Saturday 14 Janaury 2012.

    Between 11.30am and 1.00pm a green Mazda 325 car - with a P prefix registration - was stolen from the long stay car park of the station.

  • Police investigate as dog thought to have killed four sheep: Newbarns Farm, Inverkeillor

    Police in Angus are carrying out inquiries after four sheep were found dead and another 15 injured at a field at Newbarns Farm, Inverkeillor, in Angus, at about 12.30 pm yesterday (Tues Jan 3).

  • Appeal after two greyhounds abandoned on the A14; Kettering

    An incident regarding two greyhound dogs being left on the A43, near to the A14 in Kettering, was reported to the police at approximately 3pm on Friday 30 December.

    The dogs were said to have been thrown into the carriage way and were tied together with a blue rope.

    One of the dogs is described as being tan in colour and is missing its front left leg.

    Police are appealing for witnesses after a number of sheds were broken into at Bell Street allotments in Whitchurch on the night of Boxing Day.

    Sometime between 10pm on Boxing Day and 9am on December 27 a number of sheds were broken into and entry was forced to a pigeon coop which housed racing pigeons.

    Police in Poole are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward after the disappearance of three owls from a property in the Foxholes area of the town.

    Sometime between 4pm on Wednesday 14 December and 10.30am on Thursday 15 December 2011, three barn owls were stolen or released without consent from an aviary at an address along Foxholes Road.

    Police are appealing for information after 24 pheasant were stolen from a farm on the outskirts of Stockton.

    The theft occurred sometime between Saturday night and Sunday morning from the farm in Norton.

    The owner believes someone let a dog or dogs into the pen where the birds which were layers, proving new birds for the next shooting season, were housed.

    Appeal following theft of dog from outside One Stop, CCTV issued: Sunninghill

    Thames Valley Police has released CCTV images of a woman they would like to speak to in connection with the theft of a dog in Ascot.

    The incident occurred on 17 November between 4.45pm and 5pm at the One Stop shop in High Street, Sunninghill.

    The victim had tied up the dog outside the shop before going inside.

    Kent Police is issuing an urgent appeal for information after 15 sheep were found dead and injured in a field in Wrotham, West Kent.

    It appears that they were deliberately run over by a four wheel drive.

    British Transport Police (BTP) is appealing for the public's help to reunite a heartbroken family with their beloved pets this Christmas.

    Stephen Pring had parked in the car park next to Llanharan railway station, South Wales, last Friday, 9 December, while he called to a nearby shop.

    15 Appenzella Spitzhauben hens and one cockerel stolen from sheds: Hainford

    Police are appealing for information after rare chickens were stolen from Hainford.

    Between 4pm on Tuesday 13 December and 7.55am on Wednesday 14 December, the 15 hens and one cockerel were taken from sheds in a field off Church Road.

    They are of the rare Appenzella Spitzhauben breed in Silver Spangled colour.
