    Police are appealing for information after a fire caused considerable damage to a house at a disused stud.

    Police and the fire service are carrying out an investigation to establish the cause of the fire.

  • Witness appeal to suspected arson at barbers shop: Middlesbrough

    Police are appealing for witnesses to a suspected arson attack on a Barbers shop on Eastbourne Road junction with York Road in Middlesbrough.

    The incident took place between 11pm and 11.30pm on Monday 8th March.

  • £100,000 damage in suspected arson: Abbey Corrugated, Blunham

    A large fire in Blunham has resulted in damage worth over £100,000 and police are appealing for anyone with information to get in touch.

    The fire service were called to the blaze at about half past midnight on Sunday morning (March 7) to find a number of trailers alight at Abbey Corrugated Ltd, South Mills, The Ridgeway, Blunham.

    Detectives in Blackburn are appealing for information following a fire at a hotel that has caused considerable damage.

    The incident happened at around 4:30am on Sunday morning at the Bear Hotel on Bolton Road.

    Enquiries have established that the blaze was started deliberately.

    A fire was started in a wicker bin and placed in a toilet cubicle at a public house, causing smoke damage to the walls and ceiling.

  • Children aged 8 and 9 questioned as Adan House surgery blazes: Spennymoor

    At 6pm on Saturday 6th March, Police and fire brigade responded to an alarm at Adan House surgery. St Andrew's Lane, Spennymoor to find the building alight and a large amount of smoke billowing from the premises.

    The surgery was closed at the time but officers needed to evacuate Asda to ensure the safety of customers and staff.

  • Torched wheelie bins damage house as family sleeps: Corby

    Police officers in Corby are conducting extra patrols tonight after a wheelie bin fire in the early hours of this morning, Sunday 7 March.

    The incident took place in Reigate Walk between 2am and 3.40am.

    Offenders set fire to two wheelie bins which they had positioned by the victim's front door whilst the family were asleep inside.

    CCTV to trace witnesses to Conservative Party Offices fire: Kendal (£1,000.00 Reward)

    Detectives investigating a fire at the Conservative Party Offices in Kendal have today released CCTV footage in a bid to identify further witnesses.

    Police launched an investigation after receiving reports of a fire at the offices on Highgate during the early hours of Friday 19 February.

    About 0230 hours on Tuesday 2nd March 2010, emergency services responded to a report of an outbuilding on fire within a communal area on Charlotte Street, Lerwick, Shetland.

    Enquiries are ongoing to establish the cause of the fire.

    At around 8.30am on Thursday 25 February 2010 police were called to Chapel Terrace in Hayle where the fire service were dealing with a large fire inside Pratts Market.

    This is a converted chapel building which now houses various small businesses.

    Police are appealing for witnesses following an arson attack on a house in Stanground, Peterborough.

    The front door of the terraced property in South Street was set alight at about 1am today (February 28).

    A man and a woman were asleep upstairs and did not wake until the fire had spread.

    A 15 year old male from Rugby who appeared before magistrates at Nuneaton this morning (Saturday 6 March) has been remanded in custody to appear before Warwick Crown Court on Monday 15 March.

  • Arson damages flooring: Penfold Street, Aylsham

    Officers from Aylsham are appealing for information in relation to an incident of arson at Penfold Street.

    The incident occurred between 11:30pm on Saturday 20 February and shortly after midnight on Sunday 21 February 2010.

    The suspect is believed to have set fire to pieces of paper at the top of a communal stairway causing damage to flooring.

  • Suspicion of arson at disused factory: Kettering

    Police are appealing for witnesses following arson in a disused factory in Lawson Street between 6.20pm and 7.15pm on Tuesday 23rd February.

    It is believed the offender(s) gained entry via a glass panel beside the front door and set fire to the property.

    The fire service was called to the scene and no on was in the property at the time.
