Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses after an incident in Milton Keynes where a lit smoke device was posted through a letter box.
At 11pm on Friday 29 January, the resident arrived home to her property in Silicon Court, Shenley Lodge. On opening the front door, she saw a small item burning and the house was full of smoke.
Detectives are appealing for information following an attempted arson attack at a shop in Tadworth.
Between 3am and 5.45am Saturday, 23 January, a newsagents shop, in Tattenham Way, was the scene of an attempted arson attack.

Police in Looe are appealing for help from the public after an attempt was made to set fire to a fishing boat on East Looe Quay.
The incident took place between 1900 hours on Saturday, 3 October 2009 and 0600 hours on Sunday, 4 October 2009.
A glass pane in the cabin door of the moored boat was broken and an unsuccessful attempt made to set the boat on fire.

A l5-year-old local boy and a 17-year-old local boy were having a sleepover in a caravan at the front of a house in the road.
It is believed an offender tried to set fire to a gas bottle attached to the caravan.

Petrol was poured through the door of a house in Withington.
At about 4am on Monday 9 February 2009, a 36-year-old man was woken by the noise of someone at the front of his house on Mauldeth Road West.
The man went downstairs and found petrol had been poured through his letterbox.
Two children, aged 17 and 13, were also in the house at the time.
This morning (Saturday 31 January) at 3am residents of a property in Vincent Road, Dorking found a lit piece of paper in their hallway, which had been pushed through their letterbox and set some fixtures and fittings alight.
The damage was confined to the hallway and no-one was hurt.
