    Police are appealing for information after an 88-year-old woman was burgled in her own home.

    This incident took place at around 1.40pm today (July 29) in Acacia Avenue, Spalding.

    An offender knocked on a window at the back of the property to attract the occupant's attention.

    Bedfordshire Police are seeking witnesses after a man in his 70s was attacked, tied up and robbed in his home in Church Lane, Bedford early this morning.

    At around 1.30am in the early hours of Wednesday morning (28/7/10) three white men entered the man's home, tied him up and ransacked his property demanding his valuables.

    At about 11am on Monday 5 July 2010, the 11-year-old victim was at home alone in the first floor flat on Cleves Court, Heywood, when four men approached his front door.

    They smashed the door's window, opened the lock and entered the flat.

    Police are appealing for information after a businessman and his wife were threatened at gunpoint in their County Durham home.

    The couple, a man aged 45 and his wife, 41 had retired to bed for the night at their home, a large detached bungalow in Harap Road on the outskirts of Fishburn.

    Although not injured the elderly woman was taken to Stirling Royal Infirmary and is currently being cared for by her family

  • Burglary victim sustains punctured lung in attack by three intruders: Watford

    Police are appealing for information and witnesses following an aggravated burglary on Whippendell Road, Watford on Monday (July 12).

    At around 1pm, it is believed three offenders have forced their way through the front door of a flat in Lucida Court and assaulted a 41-year-old man within the property.

    It is not known at this time whether anything was taken.

    Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after members of staff at a business premises in Checketts Road were tied up during an aggravated burglary.

    The incident happened at about 9.10am on Saturday July 3 at The Jungle Club, when three men forced their way into the club as a member of staff was opening the back door to the club.

    An elderly woman was left shaken after robbers forced their way into her home.

    Shortly after 3.30pm on Wednesday 7 July 2010, the 95-year-old woman answered a knock at the door of her home on Granary Way, Sale.

    Two men then barged past her and one held onto to her while the other searched the rooms of her house.

    We are appealing for information about a burglary at the BP filling station in Higham Road, Little Irchester, which occurred during the early hours of Monday morning (28 June).

    At around 1.55am, a vehicle pulled up at the front of the filling station and an offender, armed with a pickaxe, tried to gain entry by hacking at the door.
