Police in Bedlington are asking the public to be vigilant after two beauty salons have been targeted by thieves over the last couple of days.
Between 12pm Monday, February 22, and 10am on Tuesday, February 23, someone broke into the Vanity beauty salon, in Ravensworth Terrace, making off with items of jewellery.
Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was taken to hospital following a burglary at her home.

A man tricked his way into a pensioner's home in Timperley.
At about 5pm on Tuesday 26 January 2010, the 77-year-old victim was at his home on Green Walk when there was a knock at the door.
He answered it and a man asked to come in.
The pensioner refused, but he pushed past him and then said he was from a church.
Further to a previous appeal for information regarding an attempted burglary which occurred in Marlborough an E fit of the suspect has now been produced.
The incident occurred on Saturday 19th December 2009 between 6:30 and 7:30 pm at a property in Edwards Meadow, Marlborough whilst the owners were out.

A dog flap was torn off the bottom of a door at a home in Waveney Crescent between 12.30pm and 3.15pm on Thursday 7 January.
