  • Headteacher appeals for public's help to find 'heartless' thieves: Harlow

    The headteacher of a school in Harlow is appealing for the public's help to find those responsible for the theft of around 30 laptops.

    Between 10pm on Monday January 23, 2012 and 6am the following day, windows to a classroom at Passmores Academy were forced open and the Hewlett Packard laptops stolen.

  • iPad, iPhone, keys, camera and car taken in two-in-one burglary: Tockwith

    Detectives investigating a two-in-one burglary in Tockwith are appealing for witnesses to help with their enquiries.

    Sometime between 11pm on Monday 16 May and 2.50am on Tuesday 17 May 2011, offenders broke into a property on Lucas Road, before taking a number of items and leaving the scene in a blue Ford Mondeo belonging to the homeowner.

    Police have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with a burglary that happened at the Ham Hill service station in Malling Road, Snodland.

    Just before 9.30pm on Wednesday 9 February a man entered the shop.

    He went to the counter and gave the cashier money to pay for some goods.

  • Camera, bangles and bike amongst items stolen: Station Approach, Louth

    This burglary occurred at a property in Station Road Louth and was discovered at about 1.30pm on Monday 11th April.

    The back window of the house had been forced to gain entry.

  • Woman returns home to discover intruders stabbing her dogs: Holly Vale, Marple Bridge

    A woman walked into her lounge to find a burglar stabbing her Cocker Spaniels in Marple Bridge.

    At 10.40pm on Sunday 27 March 2011, a 41-year-old woman went back into her cottage on Holly Vale, Marple Bridge, after going out the back for a cigarette.

  • Burglars torch bookshop after taking safe: Thoroughfare, Halesworth

    Police are appealing for information after burglaries at two business premises, and a fire at one of them, in Halesworth Thoroughfare overnight.

    Police were initially alerted at 7.10am this morning, Wednesday 23 March, to reports of a fire at Halesworth Book Shop.

  • Fork, spade and gas stove stolen from shed: Prudhoe

    Police are appealing for information after a burglary at an allotments in Prudhoe.

    Between 2pm Sunday, March 6, and 11am Wednesday, March 9, thieves broke into a shed in the Eastwood County Primary allotment site in Broomhouse Road.

    They stole a garden fork, garden spade, a white gas stove and two gas cylinders before making off.

  • £20,000 jewellery and Alfa Romeo taken in two-in-one burglary: Dundee

    Detectives in Dundee are investigating a break-in to a house in Bingham Terrace where £20,000 worth of jewellery and the homeowner's car were stolen.

    The property was targeted sometime between 6.45am and 5pm yesterday.

    Whilst the homeowner's blue Alfa Romeo car was later found abandoned in Dundee's Fleming Gardens South, the stolen jewellery has not been recovered.

  • Burglar takes cigarettes and lighter: The Grove, Bungay

    A packet of cigarettes and a lighter were stolen after someone gained entry to a home at The Grove in Bungay between 6.30pm and 8pm on Saturday 5 March.

    The offender walked into the property but it appears nothing else was taken.

  • Cash taken in break-in at Chinese takeaway: Lotus House, Newbold Verdon

    Officers from Hinckley local policing unit are appealing for witnesses after a Chinese takeaway was broken into in Newbold Verdon.

    The incident took place sometime between 12.30am and 12.30pm on Friday (February 25) at the Lotus House in Cadle Street, Newbold Verdon when the premises was broken into and cash was stolen.

  • Ten pairs of shoes slashed by mystery intruder: Oatfield Gardens, Calmore

    Police are appealing for witnesses after a family in Calmore awoke to find someone had entered their home and slashed ten pairs of their shoes.

    The incident occurred at a property in Oatfield Gardens between 7pm on Sunday, January 23 and 8am on Monday, January 24.

    The ten pairs of shoes were on a rack inside the porch.

  • Laptop and £7,000 jewellery taken in break-in: The Gallops, Lewes

    Police are seeking witnesses and information following a burglary at The Gallops in Lewes between Saturday 8 January and Tuesday 18 January.

    Thieves broke in and stole a large quantity of unique jewellery valued at more than £7,000, along with a Packard Bell laptop.

  • Dogs 'incapacitated' as burglars escape with Royal Crown Derby china: Lower Stondon

    Detectives in Dunstable are appealing for information after a burglary at a property in Lower Stondon last Wednesday 5 January.

    The burglary took place between 5.30pm and 7.40pm at a property on Station Road.

    The offenders accessed the garden and smashed through a rear door to get into the house.

  • Alarm activates as burglars cut hole in Post Office roof: Wilbraham Road, Chorlton Cum Hardy

    Offenders tried to steal cash by making a hole in the roof of a Post Office in south Manchester.

    At around 5.50pm on Friday 12 November 2010, the store on Wilbraham Road, Chorlton Cum Hardy was broken into.

    The offenders cut through the first floor roof leading to the ATM room, but were scared off when the alarm was activated.

  • Saab, LA55 GXO, stolen from driveway in two-in-one burglary: Rose Hill Cresent, Ipswich

    Rose Hill Cresent, Ipswich between 1:30am and 7:15am Saturday 02/10/10.

    An offender has forced open the front door of a residential property and gained entry.

    Once inside a search of the property was made and some electrical items and a set of car keys were stolen from within.
