A ladder was taken from a nearby property and used to gain access to a window on the first floor.
The incident happened at about 4.10pm on Monday July 19, when a man appeared at the victim's house to clean his windows.
The man, who regularly cleans the victim's windows, was at the house for a short while before leaving.
He returned minutes later claiming that he had forgot something and went into the house to collect it.
