  • Three pregnant ewes injured by black dog with red collar: Stancombe

    At around 4.30pm on Friday February 19th a black Labrador type dog with a red collar injured three pregnant ewes in a field at Stancombe near North Nibley, potentially causing damage to the un-born lambs.

    Police are eager to speak to the owner of the dog and ask that anyone with any information about the incident contacts them.

  • Dog poisoned with strychnine, police warning: Sheffield

    Police would like to warn dog owners to be vigilant after a pet was poisoned.

    The incident occurred on Friday February 19 at 5pm on fields surrounding Fulwood Head Farm, Fulwood Head Road, Mayfield Valley, Sheffield.

    The incident occurred when a Border Collie being walked by its owner ate something thought to have been laced with strychnine.

  • Owner sought following dog attack in park: Kidderminster

    Police want to trace the owner of three dogs after one of them seriously injured another dog being taken for a walk in a Kidderminster park.

    A woman reported to police that her black schipperke, which was on a lead, was attacked by a grey/white bulldog-type which was one of three dogs running loose in Brinton Park, Sutton Road, at around 5.15pm last Thursday (February 11).

  • Nurse and patient bitten as dogs run amok in hospital grounds: Middlesbrough

    A nurse and an in-patient are today recovering from minor dog bites after an incident in the grounds of James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough yesterday (Sunday 14th February).

    At around 6.45am police received a call from hospital security staff reporting three Rottweiler dogs were running around the hospital grounds.

  • Two lambs die and sheep injured in dog attacks: Pentney

    Officers are appealing for information after two separate attacks on sheep in the Pentney area.

    The incidents are believed to have taken place at two different locations in the village on Monday, 1 February.

    One sheep that was heavily pregnant with two lambs was sadly killed during the attack.

    Police are appealing for information on the whereabouts of six dogs that were stolen from a premises in Barrow Road, Quorn.

    At about 1pm yesterday (Monday February 8) officers received a call informing them of the robbery after an occupant of the premises discovered three men attempting to take the dogs.

    A six year old black miniature long haired dachshund called Penny has gone missing from a garden at a house, police are looking into the possibility she may have been stolen.

  • 11-week-old puppy missing: Bungay

    An 11-week old puppy - described as tan in colour with a white chest and similar to a Bull Mastiff - went missing from an address in Albion Road in Bungay around 7pm - 7.30pm yesterday, Thursday 14 January.

    At this stage the disappearance is being treated as a possible theft and police are keen to trace two men who visited the address around this time.

    We are appealing for witnesses on a robbery that took place on Beech Avenue around 9pm on Monday (yesterday).

    A woman was walking her dog when she was confronted by four youths on Woodland Avenue who appeared to be setting off car alarms on the street.

    Police are appealing for witnesses after a puppy was stolen from the RSPCA Woodside Animal Centre on Scudamore Road in Leicester.

    The incident happened sometime between 5pm and 8.45pm yesterday (Sunday January 24), when thieves broke into doors at the back of the premises.

    A white, pure breed Staffordshire bull terrier puppy was stolen.

    Do you know anyone that picked up a dog from Caledonian Road area on the evening of 17/07/09.

    This dog was in a state of panic and it's lead had come off.

    Someone picked him up and has not reported him found.

    They may have thought he was not wanted.
