  • Theft of large white ferret along with ferret box: Rushden

    A green-house at a property in Irchester Road, Rushden, was broken into between 4pm on Monday 15 February and 4pm on Tuesday 16 February.

    A large white adult ferret was stolen, along with a ferret box.

    Witnesses to this incident, or anyone with information, should call Northamptonshire Police on 03000 111 222.

    Baby giant African tortoises stolen from shop: Ipswich

    St Margarets Street, Ipswich between 3pm and 5pm Monday 22.02.10.

    A pet shop was entered and two live rare infant grey/brown giant African tortoises stolen from a secure glass tank.

    Calls in relation to this incident should be made to the CIB on 01473 613500.

  • Guinea pig, pedal cycles and freezer contents stolen: Lowestoft

    A pet guinea pig, three pedal cycles and the contents of a freezer were stolen after someone broke into a wooden shed in the back garden of a home in Reeve Street between 11.30pm on Monday 21 and 8.30am on Tuesday, 22 December.

  • 'Mildly venomous' flying tree snakes stolen: Cowes, Isle of Wight
    'Mildly venomous' flying tree snakes stolen: Cowes, Isle of Wight

    Police are making a fresh appeal for information to locate two snakes reported stolen on the Isle of Wight.

    The flying tree snakes were removed from a locked vivarium, which was inside a building at Northwood Business Park near Cowes.

    It is believed the snakes were stolen sometime between Wednesday, November 25 and Saturday, November 28, 2009.

    Have you been offered a lizard for sale in the past few days or has someone you know suddenly acquired one?

    Police are appealing for information after a break-in at a home in Norwich Road between 1pm on Christmas Eve, Thursday 24, and 10.50am on Boxing Day, Saturday 26 December, in which the sandy-beige coloured six-inch long lizard was among the items taken.

  • Pet rabbits killed by thieves on Christmas Day: Stourport

    Police have appealed for witnesses and information after garden thieves killed a Stourport family's pet rabbits on Christmas Day.

    Two rabbits belonging to a teenage girl were killed after being taken from their hutches in a back garden in Redstone Lane between 2.30am and 5am on Friday, December 25.

    Does not swear but mimics many other birds, telephone etc.

    My African Grey Parrot is missing after flying out of the back door of his home in Walthamstow.

    'Mr Leaper' African Grey Parrot missing: Eyke, Woodbridge

    A lady in Woodbridge is appealing for help in tracing her parrot after it escaped this afternoon.

    The parrot was lost in the Eyke area of Woodbridge, near to the Elephant and Castle pub at around 3.30pm.

    He is a small African Grey parrot and is mostly grey and white with a pale red tail.

    He is called Mr Leaper.

    Fifteen canaries and a red bishop stolen from aviery: Briar Road, Shepperton

    Police in Spelthorne are appealing for information after a number of canaries were stolen from an address in Shepperton earlier this week.

    The birds, which were much-loved pets, were taken from an aviary in a rear garden of an address in Briar Road at some point between 12noon on Tuesday 8 December and 10.30am on Wednesday 9 December.

    Police are appealing for information after what is believed to be two separate arson attacks on pigeon lofts in the Port Clarence area of Billingham.

    Both attacks have occurred in the early hours of the morning.

  • Tattoo guns and goldfish taken in break-in at hairdressers: Stafford

    Officers are appealing for witnesses to a burglary at a Stafford hairdressers.

    Offenders broke into Ambiance in St Mary's Place in Stafford town centre at around 1am yesterday (Tues 17 Nov).

    They stole approximately £2,800 worth of property.

  • £500 pigeon beheaded in loft break-in: Sandy Lonning, Maryport, Cumbria

    A pigeon loft was broken into between 5:00pm on Wednesday 19 August 2009 and 7:00am on Thursday 20 August 2009.

    A white chequerpied pigeon valued at £500 was beheaded in the incident and a white fantail bird valued at £20 is missing from the loft at Sandy Lonning, Maryport.

    Appeal to find barn owl 'Dusky' stolen from college campus: St Albans

    Police are appealing for information and witnesses following the theft of a barn owl, named Dusky, from Oaklands College in St Albans overnight on Tuesday, August 25.

    Between 5.30pm on Tuesday and 10am on Wednesday, it is believed offender(s) have gained access to the aviary on the Smallford Campus and removed the barn owl from within.

  • Donkey beaten with plank of wood left concussed and wounded: Brackley

    Police are appealing for witnesses to an attack on a donkey in Brackley between 7.30pm on Saturday, Sept 5, 2009 and 6pm on Sunday, Sept 6.

    It is believed the attacker used a plank of wood to hurt the 18-year-old, short-haired, grey animal in a field off Banbury Road.
