- Warning to pet owners as cat caught in trap: Lowestof
A woman is urging other pet owners to be alert after she had to have her cat put down after it came home with injuries to its front paws.
The woman contacted police last week to report the incident as it's thought the animal may have got its paws caught in a trap.

Police are appealing for witnesses after receiving a report that a cat had been shot in Thurnby Lodge.
The incident happened sometime on Friday January 8, when the 2-year-old cat called Taz returned home to Somers Road looking unwell.
The following day a pellet was found stuck in Taz's side.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a cat was shot in Hook sometime between Monday, December 21 and Wednesday, December 23.
Sometime between 6pm on the Monday and 9am on the Wednesday a 13-year-old black and white cat called Charlie that belongs to a family in Griffin Way North was shot.
- Cat caught in illegal gin trap may lose leg: Mellor, Blackburn
Police were contacted by a distressed couple, Mr and Mrs Winterbottom, on Tuesday 17 November after their cat, nine year old Jake, was caught in a Gin Trap in a field near to their home in Mellor.
Jake had not been seen for two days and the concerned couple had been searching the local area fearing their family pet had been run over.

Main Road, Hemingstone between 6pm and 7pm 17/09/09.
A cat has been injured by an air pellet in a rear garden and had to have a leg amputated.

My cat went missing on the 13/10/09.
He's black with white paws, bib and face.
He's approx 1 year old, is microchipped but has no collar.

Norfolk Constabulary is appealing for information after a three-year-old cat is believed to have been shot at by an air rifle.
Owner Donna Traill discovered Rascal under a bed in her parent's house in Caston Road, Carbrooke, covered in what she believed was mud.

Evesham police are appealing for witnesses after a cat was shot with a pellet gun.
The incident took place between 11:00 and 11:30 on Saturday (October 10).
The cat, 18-month-old tabby Little Man, was in the garden of its owner's Terrill Court address when he was shot with the air gun pellet.

Enzo is a six month old British Blue Cross Kitten.
He was last seen on Monday night (12/10/09) near a local public house.
He is neutered, chipped and fully insured.
He has some distinctive features which would make him very easy to identify.

My little black and white cat was shot with a pellet gun in the face.
She is currently undergoing surgery to remove her eye and the vet is assessing if the pellet can be removed from her brain or not.
I am outraged that this happened in our local area of Cygnet Fold, Mansfield Woodhouse.

The incident happened sometime on Thursday July 9.
The owner let Pebbles, a grey and white cat, out of the house on South Street at around 4pm.
When the cat returned to the house later that evening at 10pm, the owner found it to be unwell.

The incident happened between 2pm and 9pm on Sunday 5 July in Hatherley Lane.
The animal has been shot in the stomach with what is believed to be an air gun and has required surgery to remove the pellet.
Officers are investigating and would appeal to anyone who witnessed this or who has any information to contact police.

A 10 month old cat has been shot with an air pellet in Brackley.
It is the second time in two months that the cat has been shot with a pellet.
The first time it happened the pellet went into the cats leg but this time it has entered the cats chest wall and into his body.

The incident happened when Smokey, a white and grey cat, was let out by their owner at around 3pm on Thursday May 7, 2009 from its address on Queens Road in Rutland.
