Police in Angus are appealing for information after a motor boat - understood to be worth between £15,000 to £20,000 - was stolen from a driveway in Airlie, by Kirriemuir.

The 16-foot boat - a New Regal 1800 LSR - was taken from the driveway of a house near to the village primary school, on the main route through Airlie, some time between midday on Saturday (Feb 13) and just before 9am today (Mon Feb 15).

The boat is described as:

  • New Regal 1800 LSR 
  • 16-foot 
  • predominantly white
  • but also blue with a yellow stripe along its side
  • fitted with a Mercury Mercruiser d1.7 engine
  • on a trailer covered with a light-coloured custom-made tarpaulin

Anyone who was in the area and saw any suspicious people or vehicles, or anyone who knows where this boat is now, should call Tayside Police on 0300 111 2222, or speak to any officer.
