Police are appealing for witnesses after a digger was stolen in Liphook on the evening of Tuesday, December 15.

Sometime between 10pm and 10.30pm a yellow JCB 3CX digger was stolen from a building site at Old Thorns Golf Club in Weavers Down.

The digger is worth around £30,000 and other pieces of equipment had to be moved so it could be stolen.

PC Becky Shepherd, of the Alton Targeted Patrol Team, said:

“There would have been a number of people at the golf club when this digger was stolen and somebody may have seen something.

“We would ask anyone who has noticed a digger recently parked up in the area, particularly in rural locations, to contact us as soon as possible.”
