Up to £40,000 worth of caravans have been stolen from a storage yard in Oldham.
Between 2 December 2009 and 8 December 2009, eight caravans and one trailer tent were stolen from Oldham Caravan Storage UK on Britannia Street.
It is not known how the thief removed the vehicles, but police are appealing to anyone who has information to come forward.
The vehicles stolen are:
A 50-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of theft and has been bailed until 26 May 2010 pending further inquiries.
Detective Constable Andy O'Donnell, of Oldham CID, said:
"Whomever is responsible for stealing these caravans can only have done so out of sheer malice and to make a quick profit.
"Among the victims is a woman who bought her caravan to enjoy holidays with her disabled child, and this thief has ruined that and the enjoyment of all the other people who have had to endure considerable grief and financial hardship.
"I would therefore ask anyone who has information to come forward.
"Quite obviously, no thief will be able to hide these caravans so I would ask anyone who if offered caravans matching the descriptions of those stolen other than from a licenced dealer to be vigilant and call police if they have any suspicions."
Anyone with information is asked to call Oldham CID on 0161 856 8951.
Alternatively call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
