Police in Edinburgh are appealing for witnesses after a trailer unit was stolen from an area at the bottom of Echline Gardens, South Queensferry.

The unit, which belongs to City of Edinburgh Council, was taken sometime between 11am on Tuesday (April 27) and 1.30pm on Thursday (April 29).

The trailer unit is described as:

  • yellow
  • portacabin style
  • canteen facilities
  • a toilet unit
  • a generator
  • a graffiti-style mural on it with the words 'fall in love its great'

It is worth around £20,000.

A police spokesperson said:

'This trailer is highly distinctive and not easily disguised, so we would appeal for anyone who thinks they may have seen it since Tuesday to get in touch with police.

'Similarly we would be keen to hear from anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the Echline Gardens area in the past week.'

Anyone with information is asked to contact Lothian and Borders Police on 0131 311 3131.

Alternatively call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
