Police are appealing for information after a horse's tail was cut.

About 2.5ft was cut from the tail sometime between 10.30am on Tuesday April 20 and 9.30am on Wednesday April 21.

The Clydesdale horse was in a field in Bridge of Allan.

A Central Scotland Police spokeswoman said:

"We appeal for anyone who may have information as to who did this or who saw anything suspicious.

"The animal has not suffered as the tail bone was not interfered with but we need to trace the person responsible."
