Appeal to trace two WWI medals taken in burglary: Beeston

City and Holbeck CID are appealing for information to trace two World War I medals stolen in a burglary in Beeston recently.

The property was entered between the morning of Thursday 6 May and Friday 7 May after a rear door was kicked open.

The two medals were stolen along with a large amount of jewellery, including distinctive gold curved sovereign rings, and a Compaq laptop computer.

One of the medals is inscribed with the name 'John William Moore', and the pair have great sentimental value.

Anyone who can assist in tracing the medals is asked to contact PC Steve Alderson at City and Holbeck CID via 0845 6060606.

Alternatively call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
