Police trying to trace parts of an antique fountain stolen from South Gloucestershire have issued a photograph of cherubs of a very similar design from another fountain.
Parts of the antique Italian water fountain stolen in South Gloucestershire on May 30 2010 have been recovered - but the bronze ornamental cherubs and a dolphin are still missing.
DC Stuart Brooks said:
"The fountain was not assembled and it may be that sections are being offered for sale separately.
"There are seven cherubs and a dolphin with a cherub on its back as well as a column and other parts which we are trying to trace."
The fountain's owner, Mr Owen Inskip, said:
"Of course I am delighted to have the base and bowl of the fountain back but it is of little use without the parts which are still missing.
"I desperately hope the column connecting the two bowls, together with the seven cherubs and the dolphin, will soon be recovered.
"My worry is that people may not associate an individual cherub with the missing fountain."
Most of the missing cherubs are about 18 inches high, with the one riding the dolphin being larger
