The black MAN horsebox was stolen from a farm on the outskirts of the village sometime between Monday 3 May and Tuesday 11 May 2010, while the owner was away on holiday.
The horsebox which is worth tens of thousands of pounds bears a distinctive silver squiggle down the side and reads 'HORSES' in large letters above the cab.
PC Max Barton, of Ingleton Safer Neighbourhood Team, said:
"This is quite a distinctive livery which I'm sure would be recognisable to anyone who sees it.
"I am appealing for anyone who knows where the horsebox is or has information that could help identify the people responsible for stealing it to contact the police or Crimestoppers immediately.
"I would also urge anyone who is offered this vehicle for sale to please get in touch."
Anyone with any information is urged to contact PC Max Barton, of Ingleton Safer Neighbourhood Team, on 0845 60 60 24 7.
Alternatively call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
