Officers from Blaby Local Policing Unit are appealing for public help after eight garden spheres were stolen from a garden on Braunstone Lane, near to Meadwell Road.
The theft happened sometime between 4.30pm on Friday April 16 and 1.30am on Saturday April 17, when an occupant from the house discovered that the spheres were missing.
The spheres (pictured) are about 10kg in weight and it is believed that a vehicle was used to carry the spheres from the house.
PCSO Lewis Dedmen-Ert, a beat officer from the Braunstone town area, said:
"The spheres are very heavy and it would have taken some time to load them all onto a vehicle.
"If you live in the area and can remember seeing someone removing the spheres from the garden please get in touch.
"If you do live in the area you may have also noticed someone hanging around, perhaps in a vehicle, who was acting suspiciously?
"If so please call us and help us with our enquiries."
Anyone with any information is asked to contact PCSO 6103 Lewis Dedmen-Ert on Leicester 0116 222 2222, follow the instructions to leave a message for a police officer and when prompted key in the officer's identification number 6103.
Alternatively call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
