We are appealing for information about the theft of an electric keyboard which was stolen from the pedestrianised area of Abington Street in Northampton town centre at around 3.30pm on Wednesday 23 December.

The keyboard belongs to a woman who regularly plays in Abington Street in order to raise money for a local charity.

The keyboard was stolen while she was in conversation with another street performer.

The keyboard is a brown Yamaha model and was housed in a brown case.

The instrument is of sentimental value as it was a gift and its loss prevents the woman raising money for charity.

Witnesses to this incident, or anyone with information, should call Northamptonshire Police on 03000 111 222.

Alternatively call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
