Guitars, amplifier and tools stolen in shed burglary, photo: Dudley

In an attempt to track down the original articles, police in North Tyneside have released a photograph of a guitar similar to those stolen in a burglary.

Officers initially appealed for witnesses earlier this month following the theft of guitars, amplifiers and tools from a shed in Dudley between 12.30am on Sunday, October 3, and 8am on Monday, October 5.

Thieves forced their way into a locked shed in the back yard of a house in Grieves Row and stole two guitars valued at £250 and £450, a Vox Amplifier valued at £150 and a Snap On tool box worth £150.

And police are today releasing photographs of similar instruments in an effort to spark people's memory.

The stolen items are:

  • an Aslin-Dane bass guitar with a Sunburst yellow border
  • a black and grey Yamaha guitar
  • a Vox amplifier
  • a Snap On tool box

Anyone with information about the burglary or the whereabouts of the guitars is asked to contact the Killingworth Neighbourhood Policing Team on 03456 043 043, ext. 69191.

Alternatively call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
