Police are appealing for information after five lambs were found dead in a field at Buchlyvie, near Stirling.

A Central Scotland Police spokeswoman said:

"The animals appear to have been driven into a muddy bog and died.

"A number of other lambs had been injured which were consistent with having been chased and worried by a dog or dogs.

"We appeal for anyone with information to contact us."

The incident occurred sometime between Thursday December 17 and Saturday December 19 on farmland near to Garden House in Buchlyvie on the A811.
