Thieves stole a yellow and green John Deere tractor from a compound at a pumping station off Station Road, Tydd, overnight on April 25/26.

The tractor was recovered in the Kent area earlier this morning and enquiries are ongoing in that area. Police are repeating the warnings/appeals below.

Police are continuing to warn farmers about organised gangs stealing tractors after two more thefts.

Last night a green John Deere tractor with a blue leak drill was stolen from a farm off East Bank, Sutton Bridge and a Green and yellow John Deere tractor was stolen from Manor Hill Farm, Sutton St James.

Police are patrolling rural areas and stopping and checking all tractors and they are appealing to the public to ring in the details of any tractors on the roads in the evening.
