Police are appealing for information and have issued an image of a dog stolen from Bath Cats and Dogs Home, Claverton Down, Bath.

The dog was taken to the centre as a stray on the morning of Friday 24th April 2009 but was later claimed by the owner on the telephone.

When the owner went to collect the dog later the same day, the dog had already been claimed by someone else, claiming to be its owner.

The male dog is described as a rottweiler cross around three years old.

He is smaller than a rottweiler and has a distinctive face as his snout bends round to one side.

At the time he was stolen he wasn't wearing a collar and is not micro-chipped.

The suspects are described as:

  • two white males
  • aged in their early twenties
  • dark hair
  • slim build
