Officers are appealing for public help after a disability vehicle was stolen from the driveway of a house in Glenfield.
The turquoise Mercedes Benz V230, registration number M1 SSV, was stolen from Overdale Road, Glenfield sometime between 9pm on Tuesday June 8 and 3.30am on Wednesday June 9.
The vehicle is used as a disability car and has a ramp welded on the back for wheelchair access.
It looks similar to a Mercedes Vito van except it has windows in the back.
PC Mitch Ward is investigating the incident, he said:
"The car is used by the owner to transport their disabled child and it is vital that they get it back.
"Have you seen a similar vehicle being driven or parked in your area?
"If you can help us trace the whereabouts of the vehicle or you have information about the incident itself then I would urge you contact us."
Anyone with any information is asked to contact PC 1465 Mitch Ward on Leicester (0116) 222 2222, follow the instructions to leave a message for a police officer and when prompted key in the officer's identification number 1465.
