Mobility scooter stolen from secure back yard: Kendal

Police are appealing for information after a mobility scooter was stolen from a secure back yard off Aynam Rd in Kendal sometime between 9pm on Monday 4 May and 8am on Tuesday 5th May.

Offender(s) removed a padlock from the back gate of a house in order to gain access to the yard and stole a PRIDE 'Celebrity Sport' mobility scooter which is described as black with a blue rain canopy and is valued at £2,100.

The callous crime has left the victim, 41yr-old Simon Bolton from Kendal, distressed as he is dependent upon the scooter for everyday mobility.

Police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or who has seen a scooter matching the above description to contact PC Chris Chapman or any other officer at Kendal police on 0845 33 00 247.
