Police are appealing for information following the theft of a mobility scooter on Thursday 22nd April.

The Quingo Mobility Scooter was taken between 10am and 1pm from the bottom of a communal stairwell in Wellesley House on Wellington Street, Laisterdyke.

The 71 year old owner relied on his scooter to get out and about and used the metal basket attached to carry his oxygen bottles.

The Scooter is described as silver in colour, has five wheels and when stolen had the registration number YK08 DVD.
