Owner sought for marble mantle clock: Rodwell, Weymouth

Police in Weymouth are appealing to the public in order to re-unite a marble mantle clock with its rightful owner after the clock was recovered from an address in the town - with a picture of the clock being released.

On Tuesday 8 December 2009 officers were searching flats in a house in the Rodwell area of Weymouth when they recovered a marble mantle clock from an empty and unoccupied room.

Detective Constable Georgina Guyett, of Weymouth CID, said:

"The clock may be stolen and I would like to hear from the owner and from anyone else who recognizes the clock and who can give any information about it or about the rightful owner."

No-one has been arrested in connection with the recovery of the clock.

Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 01202 or 01305 22 22 22.

Alternatively call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
