Police are trying to find the owners of jewellery and other valuables which they believe was stolen from the Rickmansworth area.

Recovered items include:

  • an old gold lady's chain bracelet
  • a number of gold charms including one in the shape of a scooter
  • two silver baby bangles
  • some silver hat pins and broaches including one with a swallow on it
  • a small black leatherette jewellery box with a gold lock
  • an old-style travel clock with gold numerals in a leather case
  • a pink/red iPod Nano music player

Some items have already been returned to their owners.

Detective Constable Colin Cantellow said:

"I am keen to trace the outstanding owners so I can return their property to them.

"This jewellery looks quite old in style and no doubt has considerable sentimental if not material value, so I am sure they are missed."

Two 18-year-old men, both from the Harrow area, have been arrested on suspicion of going equipped to burgle and conspiracy to burgle.

Anyone with any information on this crime should ring DC Cantellow via the non-emergency number 0845 33 00 222.

Alternatively call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
