A valuable guitar has been stolen from a Halesowen music shop.
The electric guitar was taken from display inside the Music King shop on Shenstone Industrial Estate, Bromsgrove Road on 13 December 2009.
A customer entered the shop and was looking at the instrument, before leaving the shop with it, without paying.
The stolen item is a blue Paul Reed Smith custom 22 electric guitar, worth around £2500.
PC Kelly Charles from Stourbridge police station said:
"We are told that this is a rare item and we are urging anyone, be it private or a shop, who is offered a similar item for sale to contact police.
"We do have the serial number of the guitar and so can easily eliminate any genuine items offered for sale.
"If you know of the whereabouts of the stolen instrument then please contact us."
Anyone with information should call Stourbridge police station on 0845 113 5000.
