Police are appealing for witnesses to a theft from an allotment in the South Bank area.

A member of the public disturbed two men in an allotment in the area of Harcourt Road at 9.50pm on Wednesday 5th May.

The men then made off with a Peacock and a Pea hen in the direction of Victoria Street and Normanby Road.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or seen the men acting suspiciously is asked to contact PC Graeme Danks of Redcar and Cleveland Police on 01642 302626.
