CCTV still of suspect thugs inside Batchwood

Three 20 year old friends left the Batchwood Hall nightclub to take the short walk to the car park around 3:25a.m. on 21st Aug 2010. One female (designated driver) was verbally abused by two (20-ish) youths. One of the friends asked them to stop, whereupon he was attacked by the two and by three more thugs who appeared on all sides. The female called for a friend who had left earlier. while her escort ran back to find some security from the club. by the time he returned, the first victim had been punched repeatedly, suffering a permanent rupture of the eyeball. The friend who returned to help was beaten so savagely he was taken to hospital in the ambulance which arrived very quickly at 3:40. statements taken by Herts police. Reward offered for information leading to a successful conviction of one or all of the assailants.
