Red Pride Celebrity X mobility scooter stolen: Netherthird Road, Cumnock

Stolen from my disabled elderly father's home on afternooon of Wednesday 18th May 2010.

Fortunately the scooter is insured so, hopefully, the insurance company will honour the claim.

I would, however, imagine that there is a limited number of ways for a thief to dispose of such an item in the immediate local area and therefore feel that the more people that are aware this scooter is missing the better. 

I would hate someone as vulnerable as my father to be fleeced out of their cash buying stolen goods which would, clearly, need to be returned to the original owner upon discovery.

Also, it would be good if we could combine our efforts to stop this sort of crime in the first place by warning everyone who has such a scooter to be as vigilant as possible at all times.

There are some callous people out there.
