A group of men stole two BMWs from a house in Eccles.
At 9:15pm on Sunday 13 June 2010, a couple were sitting in their living room on Chatsworth Road, when they heard a loud banging coming from the front door.
The offenders smashed the glass door panel and shouted at the couple ordering them to hand over the keys to the cars on the driveway.
They threatened to enter the house if they didn't give up the keys.
In fear for their safety the 50-year-old man and 40-year-old woman handed over the keys and the men drove off.
The cars were a black BMW 320 dse, registration number T99 RWH and a black BMW 118 DM Sport, registration number MJ58 FMY.
The offenders also drove off in a silver Volkswagen Golf.
The couple only saw part of the number plate, which was FD04.
There were around three to four men and they all wore dark clothing with hoods.
Police Constable Adele Hall said:
"We are appealing for witnesses that may have seen the cars driving off at high speed.
"The couple weren't hurt, but this is an incident that will have left them extremely shaken.
"We, at Greater Manchester Police, will not stand for this kind of crime and are determined to identify the offenders."
