FATAL ROAD TRAFFIC COLLISION ? HEATH ROAD IPSWICH Suffolk Police are appealing for witnesses after a fatal road traffic collision on Heath Road, Ipswich on Thursday 20th March 2008. Emergency services were called to the scene of the collision on the A1189 Heath Road at about 6.20pm. A Honda Fireblade 1000cc with a solo rider, which was travelling northbound towards Woodbridge Road, was in collision with a pedestrian resulting in fatal injuries for the pedestrian. The pedestrian has today been named as Bernard Packard, 81-years-old from Spring Road, Ipswich. Police are appealing for anyone who saw the collision or who may have further information to contact PC Beth Harper at the Force HQ Roads Policing Unit on 01473 613500.
