Part of Oldham Road was temporarily closed after a man was found with serious head injuries at the junction with Droylsden Road in Manchester.
Police were called to the scene just before 2.45am on Thursday 25 October 2007, following reports that a 33-year-old man had collapsed after getting out of a taxi. He was taken by ambulance to Royal Oldham Hospital to be treated for serious head injuries, and a CT scan to establish their exact nature has been arranged.
Oldham Road towards Manchester was closed at its junction with Droylsden Road while police examined the scene. Anyone with any information about this incident is asked to contact the road policing unit on 0161 856 8809.
