North London Murder: Hornsey Road

We are appealing for witnesses following the murder of a man in N19 on Monday September 15. Police were called by ambulance at 2210 to a man having been stabbed in Hornsey Road, Upper Holloway.

The victim - aged in his 50s - was pronounced dead prior to his arrival at hospital. Formal identification has yet to take place. A post-mortem will be held today Tuesday September 16 at St Pancras mortuary this afternoon.

Officers from the Specialist Crime Directorate are investigating. An incident room has been opened at Barking under DCI John MacDonald. The incident happened inside Hornsey Metal Works, a shop premises at 410, Hornsey Road.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or can help police with their enquiries should call the incident room, 020 8345 3985. No weapon has been recovered at this stage. A 20year old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and remains in custody at an east London police station.
