Around 300 cannabis plants with a street value of £150,000 were recovered from a disused industrial unit in Oldham.

On Thursday 10 March 2011, officers from the Oldham East Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) executed drugs warrants in Littlemoor.

Officers recovered a large number of cannabis plants and cannabis growing equipment.

PC Graham Battye, from the NPT, said:

"The action we took came about as a direct result of information received from the public and I want to send out a big thank you to residents for their continuing support.

"It is a substantial seizure that send out the message that we will continue to target offenders whose criminal activity makes life a misery for our communities.

"If anyone has any information about anyone involved in drug or any other criminal activity I would encourage them to contact their local Neighbourhood Policing Team."

Anyone with information about drugs in their community should call Greater Manchester Police on 0161 872 5050.

Alternatively call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
