Drugs Recovery - Coatbridge Officers from the Divisional Proactive Unit at Coatbridge have recovered drugs with an estimated value of £155,000.

Around 1515 hours on Monday 15 August 2011, officers attended at an industrial unit in Main Street, Coatbridge and found a cannabis factory containing over 300 plants, estimated to have a street value of £155,000.

The industrial unit also contained materials which would have enabled a substantial cannabis factory to be operated.

Two men aged 38 and 45 have been arrested in connection with the recovery.

Speaking today, Detective Sergeant Raymond Hughes said:

"We are delighted that this intelligence-led operation has led to a substantial drugs recovery and once again shows that officers are working extremely hard to ensure that drugs are kept off our streets and out of our communities."
