Cannabis with an estimated street value of over £20,000 was seized as police raided a flat in Ashton.
A warrant was executed under the Misuse of Drugs Act on the first-floor property on Hull Street on the afternoon of Sunday 21 August.
16 mature plants that were ready to harvest were seized along with 36 smaller cannabis plants.
Lea Insp Dave Brown said:
"This is another example of us working with communities to tackle their concerns.
"We carried out this warrant as a result of information we received from residents.
"We do act on all intelligence relating to drugs and I would urge communities to continue to tell us about any suspicious activity."
Leaflets were handed out to residents in the area after the raids to let them know why there had been police activity in the area.
If you have concerns about drugs, you can report it to the police on 0845 1 25 35 45.
