British Transport Police (BTP) detectives are appealing for information after an arson attack at New Malden rail station caused an estimated £20,000 in damage.
Investigators have also released CCTV images of two men they want to identify in connection with the attack.
Police and the London Fire Brigade were called to the station around 4am on Friday, 16 September following a report of smoke being seen.
It was discovered that two wheelie bins were on fire, causing damage to the stairs and a number of CCTV cameras.
The damage is estimated to cost between £16,000 to £20,000.
Detective Constable Mike Stephenson, the investigating officer, said:
"The scene was forensically examined and we are continuing to make local enquires.
"We believe the fire was started deliberately and want to hear from anyone with information about what took place.
"As part of our investigation we also want to speak to the two men pictured in connection with this incident. If you recognise them, please get in touch."
