£20,000 jewellery and Alfa Romeo taken in two-in-one burglary: Dundee

Detectives in Dundee are investigating a break-in to a house in Bingham Terrace where £20,000 worth of jewellery and the homeowner's car were stolen.

The property was targeted sometime between 6.45am and 5pm yesterday.

Whilst the homeowner's blue Alfa Romeo car was later found abandoned in Dundee's Fleming Gardens South, the stolen jewellery has not been recovered.

Amongst the items taken are:

• silver crucifix on a silver chain
• gold ring set with an amethyst
• gold engagement ring set with three diamonds
• white gold ring set with a diamond
• pair of silver ear-rings
• gold bangle
• silver bangle
• single peach coloured pearl on a silver chain
• gold engraved St Christopher
• vintage ivory butterfly necklace
• rose gold heart shaped signet ring
• silver pendant set with a diamond
• gold brooch set with a ruby stone
• bow shaped sapphire and diamond ring
• white gold eternity ring set with diamonds
• gold ring set with a diamond solitaire
• pair of diamond ear-rings
• solitaire diamond engagement ring
• gold signet ring set with a maroon coloured stone
• Russian three part ring made with yellow, rose and white gold
• diamond and white gold bracelet
• string of pearls
• diamond crucifix and gold chain
• blue velvet jewellery box
