Detectives investigating an arson attack at an industrial estate in Maldon have released CCTV in a bid to catch the person responsible.
Officers now believe they are looking for one person who started a fire deliberately destroying four diesel tankers in West Station Yard off West Station Road, on Saturday, February 6.
Police were contacted by the fire and rescue service shortly before 7pm on Saturday with reports of tankers alight.
Road closures were in place in the surrounding area for two hours and a cordon around the yard was in place until Sunday afternoon, February 7.
Nobody was injured in the fire and there was no requirement for any properties to be evacuated.
The storage tanks contained more than 190,000 litres of fuel and the damage caused is estimated to be in the region of £500,000.
A police spokesman said:
"We are releasing the CCTV still and moving images in the hope that someone living locally in Maldon will be able to help us identify the person we are looking for."
Anyone with information is urged to contact detectives at Maldon on 0300 333 4444.
Alternatively call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
