Police are appealing for information after a man approached a 17-year-old girl as she walked home.

The teenager was walking along Abbey Street, Derby, at around 1.30pm on Sunday, June 5.

A man driving a small, black, three door car, possibly a Vauxhall Corsa, approached her on four occasions as she walked, asking her if she would like a lift.

She declined and the man drove off toward Burton Road.

The offender is described as:

  • an Asian male
  • aged early to mid-20s
  • short black hair
  • slim
  • wearing a light coloured polo top
